Selfie Blog Post
My name is Lauren Ebaugh, I'm 16 years old and a Junior. In my free time i enjoy hanging out with friends/family or drawing. My goals for the year are to become more creative when taking pictures, and having unique ideas. Expectation wise.. i expect to improve on my photo taking skills. In photography i personally think I'm best at photographing something that has meaning to me and being able to explain why i chose to photograph that object. I tend to have a weakness in coming up with cool angles and different ways to photograph things. When taking a landscape photo, the one object you are photography tends to be more of the main focus in the photo, rather than in a portrait photo there tends to be more focus points in the photo.

Personally in this unit, i enjoy doing different things with photoshop. I wish we had a longer period of time to work on editing these photos because i feel as if i could've edited my photos better but i didn't because i felt rushed. I love learning new things and being able to edit my pictures in cool, unique ways.

motion planning
Ideas:
Lauren Ebaugh and Gina Silbaugh
Our ideas:
Blurred subject: slow shutter, have person moving . Use tripod
Panning: slide down stair rail. Use slow shutter speed, move the camera and don't use a tripod
Frozen : use water balloon/eggs/ flour. Fast shutter speed and use tripod
Zooming: Use something with good color and lettering. Fast shutter speed and tripod
Writing with light : draw around someone use fast shutter speed and tripod
Sparklers, medium iso to make the lights bright enough to see but not too bright
Bulb setting, writing with light, high ISO to make the lights stand out , make the car clear.

This shooting assignment was unique & i really enjoyed it, and would love to do it again. Next time is suggest we should keep the bulb open for longer so that we can capture more.

Lighting Final Critique
When i showed my mom my blog post of the photos i took of her my mom said she was surprised that i actually liked her. She was pleasantly surprised of what i had to say, and it was very touching and made her cry. My mom said she feels as if all the photos i took do represent her personality. Her favorite photo was the 4th one because she likes to do things she enjoys and that i captured her in that moment.
